Kapok is 100% vegan, soft, hollow inside, voluminous and the lightest known fibre - extremely heat-retaining and insulating, whereby the excess body heat is released into the environment.
The wax coating means that no moisture is absorbed and passed on directly. This prevents the spread of bacteria.
Kapok comes from the wild wool tree. In the hand-picked kapok pod, the seed is surrounded by silky, shiny fibres, which are also known as plant down.
